Seasons of the Glens has been busy behind the scenes for the last few months, working on something special!

Say HELLO to: Devils Churn Caramel Sauces!

All profits from the sales of these sauces go towards supporting small businesses and revitalising urban and rural towns through the delivery of artisan markets.

We wanted to create a luxurious product that not only tastes incredible but also supports our aims and objectives. Made using the finest Northern Irish ingredients, our caramel sauces are the perfect partner for indulgent desserts—think apple crumble, brownies, banoffee pie, and cheesecake. Enjoy it as a thick, rich topping or warm it gently to turn it into a drizzly sauce.

And, of course, we have a real sweet tooth—so caramel sauce was an obvious choice!

Why ‘Devils Churn’?

Being based in Ballycastle, we took inspiration from a local landmark—the Devil’s Churn.

The Devil’s Churn is part of the old 18th-19th century salt works at Ballycastle. This natural sea cave at Pans Rock contains an inner pool, which is separated from the open sea at low tide. Over time, modifications were made, with a barrier inserted to control the water flow. The sea water would gradually spill into the inner cave, settling impurities at the bottom.

Today, the cave is a dramatic landmark, accessible via concrete stairs carved into the rock. It forms an underwater tunnel to the nearby sea, creating an incredible natural spectacle as the ocean floods in and empties out with an uncontrollable force and an echoing thunder.

For our brand, the name just felt right.

  • Devil – a nod to the fact that our product is a little bit naughty, something to be enjoyed in moderation.

  • Churn – a tribute to the local dairy products used in our caramel sauces.

  • Heavenly Good – because, well… we think it tastes heavenly good!

We’re delighted to bring Devils Churn Caramel Sauces to market and can’t wait for you to try them!
